DAVID THOMPSON - Vice President Managed Care
David joined Intercare In October 2006 as Vice President Managed Care. He is a graduate of St Louis University and is Professional Registered Nurse for over 28 years. He has a distinguished record of success and achievement of over twenty years in the Insurance Industry. His managed care experience includes Workers' Compensation, Personal Disability, General Liability and USL&H Claims experience. He has exceptional client service, organizational skills, proven adaptability and leadership ability over a broad range of assignments.
As Intercare Insurance Services’ Vice President of Managed Care, Dave is responsible for maintaining profitability, ensuring client satisfaction and compliance with State Regulations and carrier/client guidelines. Responsibilities include includes but not limited to special project management that have an impact on the overall managed care operations of the organization, analyzing and establishing work processes to ensure delivery of an excellent work product. He is responsible for all Case management, Utilization Review, MPN development, Medical Bill repricing, PPO’s, DME and Translation Services.
He has held various leadership positions in both medium-sized and large national third party administrators as well as Stand alone Managed Care companies. Most recently, she was an Assistant Vice President of Managed Care Services a large national TPA. His major responsibilities included all managed care implementations, all client reporting and analysis as well as managed care customer support for all clients. Significant accomplishments include:

100% retention of Managed Care Stand Alone clients for 8 years
Development of Managed Care Monthly and Quarterly Impact statements
Implementation of a nationwide pharmacy program.
