2014 marks Intercare's 20th anniversary as a third party claims administrator. As we look back over the last twenty years of service, Intercare has grown into one of the largest independent TPA service providers in the State of California. In recent years, the geographic scope of Intercare's operations has expanded beyond the boundaries of California. The basic operating premises of Intercare have been and remain integrity, transparency, and customer service. A strong focus and commitment to customer satisfaction by each employee in the Intercare family have been key to Intercare's success.
Intercare was founded in 1994 as a workers' compensation third party claims administrator. Intercare's initial customers included several hospital and healthcare providers. Since its founding, Intercare's client base expanded to include stand-alone self-insured employers, self-insured groups, joint-power authorities, insurance carriers, and captive programs both in the public and private sectors.
As the claims administration industry has developed and matured, Intercare has evolved to meet the changing needs of its client partners and to satisfy the ever-increasing statutory and regulatory demands of the governmental oversight entities. Two of the biggest service expansions began with the addition of Intercare's Managed Care Services Division's InterMed Cost Containment Services, Inc. and Intercare's Liability Claims Administration Division. The former permitted Intercare to offer more comprehensive workers compensation claims services to its growing client base. InterMed was founded in 1997 to provide managed care and bill review services on a bundled and unbundled basis. The Liability Claims Division increased Intercare's capability to provide specialized and general property and casualty liability claims administration services. Intercare's Liability Division was opened in 2007 with the addition of an experienced management team with established and well-maintained business and business model.
With each addition, Intercare was able to enhance its existing service capabilities and model and in each instance, customize claims administration programs according to client needs and preferences. Over time, the dedication, and hard work of Intercare's staff have distinguished Intercare in the industry and made Intercare an industry leader in innovation and in successful delivery of the highest standards of service.

These core employees have and are critical to the existing and continuing success of Intercare. Intercare has an experienced and seasoned Corporate Senior Management Team who is actively involved in the management of our organization and who is committed to delivering superior services and the highest quality services. The first twenty years seems to have passed all too quickly.
